The Szczyrk Area: What’s Worth Seeing

Today we will describe less-known attractions in Szczyrk and its surroundings: what is worth seeing when you come to us for a holiday? We warmly encourage you to read on.

Handmade Crafts from Szczyrk

Handmade products are becoming increasingly popular. Artists are showcasing greater creativity by combining different techniques and using a variety of materials. If there are craft enthusiasts among you, we have good news: in the Kamelo art studio – the only one in Szczyrk – ceramic masterpieces made by hand are created, which are perfect gifts for loved ones or simply a memento from a weekend in Szczyrk.

Angels, mugs, platters, bowls, plates, and decor items: all of this can be viewed and purchased by visiting the Kamelo studio. We recommend visiting this place not only as entertainment on a chilly rainy day – it's worth incorporating it into a day spent hiking on Skrzyczne, as the studio is located along the blue trail, or while sightseeing other noteworthy places in the region. There are plenty of attractions near our hotel in Szczyrk – it wouldn't hurt to add an artistic studio to your sightseeing plan.

Especially since there are ceramics workshops and crafting meetings held on-site. They will provide great fun for the whole family. A visit to Kamelo will be a huge attraction for children – we guarantee that they will spend the entire afternoon in a friendly atmosphere, giving parents a bit of respite.

Forest Park of Surprises in Ustroń – an attraction (not only) for children

15 hectares, 30 species of animals, 3.5 km of paths – this is a brief description of the unique Zoo Garden, the Forest Park of Surprises, located in picturesque Ustroń. Owls, birds of prey, and mammals of the Park invite entire families to educational nature experiences – both the youngest and adults will surely enjoy it here. In the Forest Park of Surprises, there awaits a lot... of surprises, of course, but to entice you, we can disclose a little.

The Owl House is an extraordinary place where the main attraction is owl flight shows arranged specifically for this purpose. The owners claim that at such shows, it becomes clear that owls are not only nocturnal creatures, but they also manage well in flying during the day. By visiting the Owl House, you will see that the temperament and lifestyle of owls differ significantly from those characteristic of other birds of prey. They can even be compared to birds from the Falconry: here, flight shows, for example, of eagles and hawks, also take place.

For children - but not only! - the Fairy Tale Alley was created in the Park. Adults also willingly stop here to reminisce about their younger years and carefree times. Here you can admire 11 moving displays of famous fairy tales, including “Bolek and Lolek”, “The Cat in Boots”, “Maja the Bee”, and “Little Red Riding Hood”.

We probably do not need to mention well-known attractions of the region, such as the Museum in Koniaków, Adam Małysz Museum in Wisła, and similar ones. However, we are happy to provide more information and point out plenty of other places worth seeing in Szczyrk and surrounding areas. Welcome!
